What is “concert dress”?

Generally speaking, all black – shirt/blouse, pants/skirt, shoes and socks. No decorations or logos/emblems. It can really be that simple. For some of our concerts, we may offer the option to wear items specific to the concert or to a musical piece in the concert. See below for an example

Note: students who choose to wear skirts should also wear leggings or tights because the stage level is higher than the audience level.

What is EIM Day?

answer

EIM = Elementary Instrumental Music and EIM Day is a Saturday when 4th & 5th grade elementary musicians from local feeder school come to Whitman for the afternoon to sharpen their skills, play alongside Whitman musicians, and get inspired about playing music. It’s a fun event, with activities capped off with a concert at 5pm.
